W.W.A.D Founder and Director Melissa Mcphee

U.K.A/ I.D.T.A  Professional Teacher of Dance Associate, Licentiate.

Licensed Championship Adjudicator Choreographer and Dancer.

Member of the U.K.A, I.D.T.A.


Melissa is a fully-qualified dance teacher as a Licentiate full membership and Associate.

Melissa is a Professionally qualified teacher in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop, Street Dance, Freestyle Disco and Cheerleading and currently holds a Championship Adjudicator license.

Melissa is 30 years old from Glasgow in Scotland and moved to Pembrokeshire in Wales when she was 10 years old.

When Melissa was 3 she constantly danced everywhere and it was then her Mum realised her love for dance and took her to Susan Deans Stage School in Glasgow where she learnt Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Majorette and performed in the school stage shows.

Melissa studied an National Dipolma in Performing Arts and has performed lead roles in performances such as Half a Sixpence, Moby Dick, and Mother Goose.

Melissa has gained great experience dancing, teaching, choreography, and training towards her Professional teaching exams.

Melissa began teaching at the age of 16. She realized her life long dream when she opened her studio in 1998 and continues to share her knowledge and love of dance with her students.

Kelly Williams-Cheerleading, Street Dance and Musical Theatre

Kelly has trained in dance for over ten years. Covering all different
styles of dance including, street/hip-hop, line, freestyle, contemporary,
rock and roll, ballet and tap, her favoured style’s being hip-hop,
line and contemporary.

Kelly studied Performing Arts at
Pembrokeshire College from 2003-2006 gaining both a first and national
diploma and an OCN in stage combat.

After getting her diplomas
at College Kelly then went on to study full time for a dance degree at
Bath Spa University. During her time at University Kelly studied,
contemporary technique, the consciousness model, physical theatre, digital
media, the Alexander technique, choreography and performance. Kelly
graduated from Bath Spa University in July 2009 with a BA Hon’s
Degree in Dance, Classification: 2.1

Kelly has worked
alongside professional dance companies including, Precarious Dance and
Multi Media Company, and Fahrenheit Dance Studios. Kelly has also danced
in Fahrenheit’s annual show behind Britannia High star Marquelle
Ward on the release of his new single this year.

Kelly has
great experience in both choreography and teaching and is eager to keep
sharing her passion with anyone who wants to learn. 

 
 

 

Alison Rosser Teacher Assistant and Drama Teacher

BA(Ed) in Primary Education with Music as Allys specialist subject and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Allison is a 30 year old mother of 2. She was born and brought up in Pembrokeshire
and currently lives just outside Haverfordwest.She has worked with children and
young people for the last 13 years and is a qualified teacher having gained her BA
in Primary Education with music as one of her specialist subjects.

Alison Helps all the members of staff at the W.W.A.D at the our classes and has an excellent personie with the children.

 

 

   
 

Guest Dance Teacher and Choreographer-Mark Short

 

Mark has choreographed many industry professionals including Liberty X, Tina Turner, Peter Andre and ant n' Dec.

 

He has also been the choreographer in Oakwood since it has opened and has his own successful stage Schools in the London area, Marks pupils have had huge success!!.

 

Students from Marks stage school are now starring in the BBC'S Eastenders. Playing the part of "Ben Mitchell" (Son of Phil Mitchell), and (Squiggle).

 

Mark always supports our school and comes along to support our annual show every year

 

   

Singing/Vocal Training Teacher- Ian Evans L.L.C.M (T.D)

Evans - "Ianthevoice" - is a versatile singer and performer as well as a repected singing teacher and vocal coach.

In 1972 Ian performed at The Queen Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank, London as a soloist alongside Benjamin Luxom in a production of Der Jasager by Kurt Weill,  during his first term at college.

Classically trained at the London College Of Music
under the watchful eye of Dr. William Lloyd Webber, where he also studied Double Bass. In 1975 he won the Eugene Cruft Prize for solo Double Bass. 

In 1975 he became a Licentiate of the London College of Music with a Teaching Diploma in Singing - L.L.C.M.(T.D.)

Although formally trained in Opera and Oratorio Ian has a vocal flexibility which enables him to sing any genre of music.

Whatever your musical needs are,"Ianthevoice" has the solution, Ian can sing in any style from Classical - Musical Theatre - Ballads - Swing - Power Ballads - Pop - Blues - Jazz. His repertoire is vast and is constantly being updated and whenever possible he will always sing that song which is special to you.


If you are organising a Corporate Event, planning a wedding or a celebration - Ian can tailor make the music to suit the event. Not only providing Cabaret but also supply a full disco with lighting etc.


Ian is also an experienced voice trainer, vocal coach and singing teacher and offers training through from novices who want to begin to learn to sing, to experienced singers who want to improve their voice or vocal range or even expand their style of singing to different genres.

Every genre of music is both performed and taught. 

   

Guest Dance Teacher and Choreographer-Zosia Dowmunt

 

 

Zosia Dowmunt will be working within the school from time to time and has recently graduated BPA In Contemporary Dance from the Northern School.

 

JOON is a new dance company based in Wales. Who aim to increase access and practise of contemporary dance. We aim to make dynamic and exciting dance work which will attract new audiences and encourage young people to get into dance.
