Melissa is a fully-qualified dance teacher as a Licentiate full membership and Associate.
Melissa is a Professionally qualified teacher in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop, Street Dance, Freestyle Disco and Cheerleading and currently holds a Championship Adjudicator license.
Melissa is 32 years old from Glasgow in Scotland and moved to Pembrokeshire in Wales when she was 10 years old. When Melissa was 3 she constantly danced everywhere and it was then her Mum realised her love for dance and took her to Susan Deans Stage School in Glasgow where she learnt Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Majorette and performed in the school stage shows.
Melissa studied an National Dipolma in Performing Arts and has performed lead roles in performances such as Half a Sixpence, Moby Dick, and Mother Goose. Melissa has gained great experience dancing, teaching, choreography, and training towards her Professional teaching exams. Melissa began teaching at the age of 16. She realized her life long dream when she opened her studio in 1998 and continues to share her knowledge and love of dance with her students.

An experienced and versatile musician, Clive has been performing professionally for over 15 years. He has played at many of the top venues throughout the south of the UK, and has also worked as resident musician on a luxury cruise liner.
Clive has also undertaken a variety of recording work including pop session work, location recording for radio, and tracks for theatre rehearsals and performance.
Now based back in his home county of Pembrokeshire, Clive teaches piano, voice and music theory in his own private studio. He is also a lecturer in the Performing Arts department at Pembrokeshire College, specialising in both music performance and technical theatre.
Julie has been a member of the ‘West Wales Academy of Dance’ for over 10 years and has the highest qualifications in many types of dance from ballet, freestyle to hip-hop.
She has competed as an individual and part of a team in competitions all over the country, achieving first place in the British championships as part of a dance team, and an individual second place, again in the British championships. As well as having a passion for dance, Julie has also represented her county and country in Gymnastics and her musicality led to her achieving qualifications from the ‘Royal School Of Music’ at the Clarinet.
Julie is currently studying for her A levels with a view to attending university to study as a teacher. She will bring to the academy a passion for all types of dance and will pass on this passion and enthusiasm to children who attend the academy.
Andrew Johnson (GDB) is a great assest to the West Wales Academy of Dance with his reputable background in Customer Service, Marketing and Advertising.
Andrew is Melissa Mcphees partner and supports the Academy with a great deal of enthusiasm and passion. Andrew deals with the Events, Marketing, advertising, Phone call enquires, Dance Orders, Competitions, Shows and much much more…
